I walk about 1.5-2 miles everyday with my dog. We stop a lot for “sniff” breaks though! I really enjoy them and if I don’t get a walk in I can really tell. I do need to incorporate more strength training into my exercise routine.
If I didn't have a dog, I don't think I'd get out for a daily walk. It's a good idea to do the recommended amount of strength training, too! There are so many benefits to both types of exercise.
I probably wouldn’t either. I didn’t walk on a regular basis until we got her in 2020. I guess I can thank her for that! Do you have any recommendations for good strength training exercises for beginners? I’m 50 and in perimenopause BTW if that matters. Thanks!
Walking is exercise for the soul:). I try to get an hour‘s walk in every day, in a forest or a park nearby. It‘s essential for my wellbeing.
I walk every day, too! With my dog. She needs to get outside and so do I.
