Great article. Pls update on what you think now that you've been taking creatine. I do not take it and am wondering if I should. However, up to now, I really only thought gym rats took creatine--ha!
Thanks for this information. Ive been wondering about creatine. What creatine supplement did you order? What should I look for in a creatine supplement?
Hi Jessica, You’re welcome! I purchased creatine monohydrate. That is the form that is the most studied and the least expensive. Just plain old creatine monohydrate without anything added is fine. I ordered mine from NOW foods. It arrived yesterday and I am eager to get going with it.
Fantastic article. Thank you! I will be sharing it with my nutrition students. Any thoughts on creatine supplementation increasing the risk of breast cancer metastasis?
My reviews of the studies show conflicting results mostly related to creatine’s role in cell proliferation and the “potential” for contributing to metastasis. I was just wondering if you’d come across any definitive answer.
Studies are mostly mice models. It's why I was wondering if you had come across anything in your research. It's been a burning question of mine. Thank you for the article. I will be sharing it.

You always nail it. And make it credible & easy for everyone to understand. I really may get some now.
Thank you! I just bought some creatine yesterday and I'm a tough customer!

Hi Jeannie, Thank you! I didn’t see anything about breast cancer when I was researching creatine. Is there something I should know?

Jeannie, what do you think about this article that shows creatine is associated with a lower risk for cancer? https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S175646462300333X
No, I didn't. What level of intake are the studies talking about? Is it within the 3 to 5 gram range?
